Redchip Strata Law’s clients, potential clients, and other individuals Redchip Strata Law may come into contact with in the course of acting for Redchip Strata Law’s clients;

The personal information Redchip Strata Law may collect and hold includes your name, telephone numbers, email addresses, street address, postal address, other contact details, date of birth, occupation, company name, employment history, education and qualifications, personal preferences, financial information, payment details, feedback and other information which assists Redchip Strata Law in conducting its business and complying with its legal obligations.

Sometimes Redchip Strata Law may also collect your ‘sensitive information’, such as information about your membership in a professional association, criminal record or health information.

Collecting and holding personal information

Redchip Strata Law collects personal information in a variety of ways, including:

Technology

Redchip Strata Law may also collect and process non-personal information provided to Redchip Strata Law by your browser when you visit Redchip Strata Law’s websites for example, the website you came from, your location information, IP address, web browser and/or device type and the time and date of access.

Protecting personal information

Redchip Strata Law takes reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include secure storage facilities for paper records, secure data centres and cloud storage providers, limiting physical access to Redchip Strata Law’s premises and paper records, restricting electronic access to the personal information Redchip Strata Law holds through information security software and firewalls, conducting privacy training for Redchip Strata Law employees and permanently destroying or de-identifying your personal information as required by law and otherwise when it is no longer required.

Anonymity and pseudonymity

Where possible, Redchip Strata Law will provide you with the option to use a pseudonym or not identify yourself, unless Redchip Strata Law is required or authorised by law to identify you. Redchip Strata Law may not be able to assist you with your specific requests if you are using a pseudonym or are anonymous.

Accessing and correcting personal information

Subject to the requirements and exceptions in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you may request access to and seek correction of the personal information Redchip Strata Law holds about you by contacting Redchip Strata Law’s Privacy Officer at strata@redchip.com.au. There is no fee for submitting a request to access your personal information. Redchip Strata Law may charge a fee for payment of its reasonable administrative costs in providing the requested personal information to you.

Third party content

Redchip Strata Law may include links to third party content including links to websites operated by third parties. Redchip Strata Law has no control over the privacy practices of these third parties and makes no representations or warranties in relation to the privacy practices of these third parties. Marketing

Redchip Strata Law may use and disclose your personal information to advise you of the range of goods and services Redchip Strata Law provide, advise you of legal developments, and market Redchip Strata Law’s services.
